UAR Game Types 2009

GSSL- Golden State Soccer League centers referees on these matches are paid by GSSL.  You do not put these games on your PSRA pay summary. Write “GSSL” after the Center Referee’s name on the game voucher.

Nor Cal - The referee crew on these games are to be at the field 30 minutes before kick off to check in the teams, collect rosters, game cards, player passes. PSRA will pay Referees. Fee schedule and rules are posted on PSRA.

Assessment/GSSL - Assessment games are listed in green on the schedule, and are always upper level games. They are very important to the referee(s) being assessed. If you plan to request an assessment game as an AR, make sure you’re able to be at the field (30) thirty minutes before the game. Don't request a game in the time slot just prior to the assessment game. Plan to be there at least thirty minutes after the game for the debriefing. Don’t request a game right after the assessment game. Give these games your best effort, which means they shouldn't be your fifth game of the day. These games are a great way to get good pointers on your own game, and hear the pointers on the assessed referee’s game. You’ll need to have all the necessary uniforms as well.  Contact Eric or Sam Larson if you need to borrow equipment to do these matches. Center referee is paid by GSSL.  AR’s are paid by PSRA.

U 9 & U10 Program - The parents are to referee these games.  PSRA and the leagues do not supply referees on these matches.  No, you may not hire any referee to do your matches.

Scrimmages - Coaches will pay you.  $25.00 each position.

Nor Cal State Cup Games -  All referees have to be at the field 30 minutes before game time to check in team, fill out paper work.  All games in U9-U13 NorCal State Cup(s) group play – round 1 - must have 5 kicks from the mark at the end of each game. This is not a competition between the two teams so after 5 kicks no more need be taken. Don’t request a game right after this so you have the time to complete the kicks. Referees will be by PSRA. Do not collect any fees from the teams at the field (Change effective 10/9).
